Nursery Ideas

After one chapter in our lives comes other chapters. The next chapter in mine is on being a full-time mom after working straight for more than 5 years, sometimes neglecting to spend time with my 1st daughter, now 9 years old. After deciding to finally quit my job, the idea of becoming a full-time mom is becoming lovelier as days pass by.

I am now in my 29th week of pregnancy and I am so excited to meet my 2nd baby daughter! I can feel her moving in my tummy as I write this post. I wonder what she looks like? I'm really so excited to see her. My hubby talks to her and tells her to come out now so he can play with her. But I read that although parents feel impatient to see their new family member, each day is crucial for the baby's development.

To pass the time, I decided to start planning for a nursery. I found some good sites that showed great nursery ideas. There are so many themes and colors to choose from. I'd better decide which one is suitable for her or I'll end up with a multi-colored nursery! These are some of the themes I saw.

A pleasant looking nursery is important I guess, but more important is a baby-friendly one. I just want a simple design, not too colorful. It must also be safe for my baby. For example, no framed pictures hanging above the crib! Or frilly beddings. I also read that it's easier to clean hardwood floors than carpeted ones.

As of now, I'm still finishing my 1-month notice at work but as soon as I'm free from work, I'll start decorating the nursery. That would keep me from being bored while I'm still waiting for her to come out.
