A workmate of mine and I were invited by our boss last year to have a business lunch in a very unique restaurant. The place is called Eve's Garden. I admit I had reservations for going to this restaurant because I heard that it was one of those organic or vegetarian places. I love a good steak and If someone would treat me a free lunch, I was hoping it would involve a good juicy chunk of beef! Anyway, we had to go there because it was a business meeting, I figured, I'd just have to "endure" the whole thing. Little did I know that, this new experience will open my eyes to new levels!
The place is located in Lamtang Road, Baguio City. Its a little difficult to find because its hidden in the mountains. You'll need to rent a car to get here or hire a cab. When we got there, there were no other customers around. I heard that customers have to make reservations before coming here for they had to hand-pick all of the flowers and the vegetables.
We were welcomed by one of the staff and were led to a table with a view of the mountains. We sat and admired the scenery as we waited for our food to arrive. The first course was a salad made of flowers! I was surprised that we had to eat flowers! I was expecting the regular lettuce salad but this was really different. The picture on top's what it looked like.
The drinks they served us were also organic, I didn't really know what it was made of or what it contained but there was a eucalyptus leaf floating on top. It was delicious too as it turned out.
The main course was of pork, rice and more flowers! By this time I was already full from the salad I had. There was also dessert served after the meal.

I later found out that the price of a full course meal per head is around 650 pesos. This is not exactly cheap in the Philippines, but to tell the truth, the experience is priceless. I hope to be able to bring my family here in the future to share this experience.
